ELIGIBILITY 
Participation in the Art Flood KC event is open to all artists, age 18 or older. 
REGISTRATION

Artists may participate in any or all days
Registration is free but we will accept donations.  If you would like to make a donation online click here. 
 
HOURS OF CHECK IN 
Monday, May 9th – Thursday May 12th
The event will begin at 2pm May 9th and come to an end at 5pm May 12th.
Check in from 2-5pm daily at Main Pavilion (check-in table at north end of pavilion)
There will be one stamp for the entire event.   Stamp as many as you need. 
After you receive your stamps, you are free to paint anytime during the day. 
Snacks, Bottled Water, and Activities/ Entertainment will be provided during check-in times.
You do not have to check in everyday unless you need another stamp. 
If you cannot make it during 2-5pm and you really want to paint for this event, let us know.
You can submit 2 any two paintings for judging
Paintings need to be presented at 5pm sharp Thursday, May 12th.
The Purchase Award Ceremony will begin at 5:30pm.

Water, grilled hot dogs and other grilled snacks will be available daily during 2pm—5pm at the check in area daily. Or bring something and we'll grill it for you. There will also be some live entertainment and tables with free arts and crafts supplies. Come by and take a break and hang out with us!  Invite your friends and family out to Art Flood KC. All the free stuff is available to everyone! Lots of it!​
PAINTING LOCATIONS
Artwork materials MUST be stamped prior to starting work to ensure that the submitted work has been created during the event.  Kansas City is your canvas with suggested areas:
  • Zone 1= Loose Park / Country Club Plaza / Brush Creek / Nelson-Atkins Museum
  • Zone 2 = Ward Pkwy / Brookside Blvd / Rockhill Rd / The Paseo
  • Zone 3 = Crown Center / Liberty Memorial / Union Station
  • Zone 4 = Downtown / Power & Light / Barny Allis Plaza / River Market
In keeping with traditional plein air fashion, all plein air art must be done on site and not in a studio.  
All artists will fill out a waiver/release form.  You can do so digitally at the bottom on this page or print one from the emails you will be receiving and hand it in at check-in, or fill one out the day of your check-in.

    Art Flood KC – 2022

    WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
    1. In consideration for participation in the activities arranged through Genesis 1-1 Fine Art, I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the nonprofit dba Genesis 1-1 Fine Art of L3 International or any of its staff or volunteers (hereinafter referred to as "releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees, or otherwise, while participating in the Art Flood KC event, or while in, on or upon the premises where the Art Food KC activities are being conducted, while in transit to or from the premises, or in any place or places connected with the Art Flood KC activities.

    2. I am fully aware of risks and hazards connected with being on the premises and participating in Art Flood KC activities, and I am fully aware that there may be risks and hazards unknown to me connected with being on the premises and participating in Art Flood KC activities, and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in the Art Flood KC activities, to enter upon the above named premises and engage in activities. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of my being a participant in Art Flood KC activities, whether caused by the negligence of releasees or otherwise.

    3. I further hereby agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless the releasees and each of them, from any loss, liability, damage or costs they may incur due to my participation in Art Flood KC activities, whether caused by the negligence of any or all of the releasees, or otherwise.

    This form will be included in your artist packet and must be signed during or prior to check-in starting Monday, May 9th, 2022.  By entering at date below and submitting this form, you are agreeing to the terms mentioned in this waiver.
