"ART FLOOD"
A PLEIN AIR EVENT
Plein-Air Painting is the act of painting outdoors. This can be a challenging way to do art, but it has become very rewarding when done with God. Plus, it puts you right into creation, the genesis of Genesis 1-1 Fine Art, and in direct sight of the public. Genesis 1-1 has networked with different plein air communities; thus, many have come to know who we are and who we represent, Jesus. Our relationship with the art community has enabled Genesis 1-1 Fine Art to run plein air art contests that we call “Art Flood”.
An Art Flood Event is designed to bring the outdoor community together and present the Gospel of Jesus to them with an invitation to join the Kingdom of God. Like seeing hot air balloons in the sky, it’s always fascinating to find several artists set up outdoors doing art. Hosting an Art Flood event can be fairly simple.
An “Art Flood” fine art event is a great way to gather people of all ages and demographics together to enjoy each other's fellowship.

- Decide on a good venue like a park, a region, or an entire town. Think picturesque.
- Your event will be coined that venue’s name i.e., Art Flood City Park, Art Flood Springfield, etc.
- An Art Flood event can coincide with another event like the local fair.
- Art Flood can run for one day, the whole weekend or even an entire week.
- Most plein air events are contests. There is usually a substantial cash prize for the winner.
- Soliciting a local sponsor for the prize is another way to get more people involved.
- A plein air art competition is a great way to pull artists out of the community and honor their gifting in fine art.
- All the artists will gather to hear the judge critique their art in anticipation of winning the prize.
- Once the prize is awarded, we’ll wrap things up by sharing the mission of Genesis 1-1 Fine Art and Jesus.
- It is customary at Genesis 1-1 events to provide food and drink, especially for the participants.

"ART in the park"
Art intercession outreach
The coordinators at Genesis 1-1 Fine Art can’t seem to be still for long so outreach may be created that doesn’t involve a gallery event or workshop. Many of these outreaches are right in the middle of some lower income neighborhood, in another state, or maybe in another country. Genesis 1-1 will form a plein air ‘Art in the Park’ team which is a cute way of saying Art Intercessors. The artists’ viewpoint of the surroundings is completely different than those that are working and running the event. Their perspective becomes focused on the spiritual, making our art teams capable of painting God’s will and commanding a Godly outcome to an event.
- Genesis 1-1 artists are trained in discernment through God’s Holy Spirit. The practice is then transferred to the artwork.
- Art in the Park teams provide a continual covering of prayer for the evangelism event.
- People are easily drawn to see what someone is painting. These introductions create Godly interactions.
- Because the artists are putting themselves on the front lines, they have often witnessed miracles.
- The Genesis 1-1 coordinators may be able to help with your next evangelism outreach event.
