The Days of Creation Art Gallery is the real basis of how it all started for Genesis 1-1 Fine Art. The founder, Julia Dell Otterness, had a vision to paint all of God’s creation as it corresponded to the creation events depicted in the bible.
Plein-Air Painting is the act of painting outdoors. This can be a challenging way to do art, but it has become very rewarding when done with God.

Genesis 1-1 Fine Art comes alongside of the Christian artist in many ways. One is to encourage them through biblical discipleship so they can feel confident about hanging their artwork.
What would it look like if an artist learned how to gain their creative inspiration from the Holy Spirit through scripture? And what if that same artist became capable of sharing the Gospel of Jesus by simply talking about their artwork?

IT STARTED WITH THE IDEA THAT FINE ART COULD BE USED FOR GOD.
Julia and her husband, Bill, where having a discussion about art while covering the topics of Julia’s artistic passion to capture all of creation with a brush. Bill suggested the endeavor could be called Genesis 1:1 based on the verse in the Bible. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth”. Now Genesis 1-1 Fine Art is hosting monthly Open Studios, Artists Talks, Workshops and much more! |
