"ARTIST TALK"
AN ART GALLERY EVENT
Genesis 1-1 Fine Art comes alongside of the Christian artist in many ways. One is to encourage them through biblical discipleship so they can feel confident about hanging their artwork. We have a few venues already committed to accepting an artist that we send their way, but we are always looking for a new gallery that’s bold enough to embrace the next upcoming artist. This is an adventure that everyone involved takes together because it is the commitment of Genesis 1-1 Fine Art that every artist tells their story to a live audience.
Once an artist is ready to show their work, Genesis 1-1 begins training them to talk about their art in front of a live audience. In many cases it is necessary to biblically disciple the artist so there is an understanding that God is ultimately the one providing the creativity. This message will become part of the artist talk. Another aspect of the artist talk is the personal testimony of the artist. If done right, this message can be seamlessly intertwined throughout the artist talk. We already have a good network of artists that we can pull from to provide an Artist Talk for you right now and begin rotating artists in your gallery.

- An Artist Talk Gallery can consist of any number of paintings. The art provided will be professionally done fine art. The display can be up for 1 to 4 months.
- If you already have a gallery to display artwork, a representative determines the size and type of artwork that can be used for the show. If you don’t have a gallery and would like to start showing art, a representative can consult with you to determine a good hanging system to fit your building.
- An art drop-off day will be scheduled once you are ready to show art. Make an announcement to let everyone know that a show is coming. This will help build the excitement.
- A date and time will be set for the actual Artist Talk reception. We like to see this date scheduled towards the middle of the time the show is up. For instance, a show is up for two months so an Artist Talk is scheduled after one month from install date.
- Typically, 90 minutes is the total time allowed from start to finish. This includes refreshments, presentation and Q&A time.
- This is a great evangelistic opportunity to invite the general public since the Gospel of Jesus will be presented through fine art. Artists, and lovers of all forms of art and people that desire to see something different will attend our events.
